Five Juice Recipes to Improve Health by Alkalizing your Body

There are many factors that contribute to our bodies having too low of a pH, or being too acidic, including eating refined foods such as pasta and baked goods, consuming acidic drinks such as coffee, soda, and fruit juices, and stress.

Drinking green and vegetable juices is one of the easiest (and tastiest) ways to recover and maintain good health. In addition to allowing the body to quickly absorb all of the raw vitamins and minerals from the juiced veggies, they also have a powerful alkalizing effect.

Here are 5 juice recipes that will jump start you on your path to alkalizing your body and…. they taste delicious too!

For all recipes, thoroughly cleanse all fruits and veggies and run through a juicer.

Green Goodness

  • 2 c. spinach
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 stalk celery, leaves included
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 apple

Lemony Greenery

  • 1 cucumber
  • ½ peeled lemon
  • 4 broccoli florettes
  • 2 leaves kale
  • 1 apple

Greens First

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 head of romaine lettuce
  • 5 celery stalks
  • 1 peeled lemon
  • 3 leaves kale
  • 1 handful of flat leaf parsley
  • a small knob of ginger

**be sure to process the parsley early in the process as you will need a more solid veggie to push the herb through the juicer

Carrot Lime

  • 5 peeled carrots
  • 2 peeled limes

Beauty and the Beet

  • 4 beets peeled
  • 1 peeled lemon
  • ½ inch knob of ginger

    Hi Elwin, just a query on your juice recipes, mixing fruit and veg won’t that cause fermentation in the system / acid environment? I don’t fully understand the whole food combining theory, but I thought the basics were to eat fruit and veg at separate times? would be grateful for clarification on this topic – Bill
