    I enjoyed the interview. I would like even more details, I know the topic is very broad and it is easy to gloss over topics. And more examples of savoury foods (there was a lot of talk about juices), healing soups, dishes, what to put in them etc. I liked the empowerment of finding the healthier choice of food for your craving.

      that’s great Bridget, glad you enjoyed that distinction.
      I leave specific recipes to my friends usually, like Russell James, although I include a few in my own programs.
      Also, I do go into a lot more detail on this topic in Taoist Health Academy, which foods go with which season and nourish which organs, etc.
      I’m not sure that interviews are the best format to go through specific recipes. However, we could do one on savoury food, I guess. What would you specifically want to know (other than recipes?)

    hi! this was really interesting, especially as I am one of those people you refer to who really shouldn’t be doing too many cooling foods – yet has still be sweltering in this heat wave in London, eating lots of raw and cooling foods cos in the moment they feel wonderful, but then feeling a bit low energy and drained because I need a bit more grounding. Do you have any more tips for this sort of situation and good ways to gain weight in Summer?

      great question Hannah. The simplest answer is…Salt!
      The most under appreciated nutrient in the natural health community.
      Seriously, it’s the most grounding substance there is, but many people don’t have enough, because they think it’s bad…or because they used to eat loads in processed foods, and animal foods, without realising it, and very little potassium.
      Then, they start to eat loads more fruits and veg, with high potassium, and no sodium, and this is just as unbalanced as the previous diet!
      We need a good balance of salt and potassium, and, if you have the tendency to low blood pressure, low energy, and being ungrounded, salt is usually the first answer.
